About Us

ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Started in the basement of a rented space full of chairs and an old three legged desk – no musician’s, no sound system, and no pulpit, here in Newark. We compelled them to come in. His church is a House of Refuge sitting on a hill. We believe in the demonstration of His power poured out upon His people. We are a compassionate Matthew 25:41-46 church filled with the love of Jesus poured out. Refuge loves the people in this community. Our mission, is to Love Jesus; Love People; and Prove it.

Refuge Apostolic Church is a Bible-based church. We’re Bible-based in that we seek to base all of our beliefs and our lifestyle on explicit passages of the Bible or on biblical principles.
